Welcome. Or bem-vindo, as they say in Portuguese. You’ve landed here on this blog perhaps unexpectedly. Or maybe, you’ve simply caught the whiff of that Lisbon lust — the lust to wander, to travel, to live. I’m sure you’ve heard much about the Portuguese capital already, that tiny city unassumingly perched at the westernmost point of continental Europe, where the sun shines to almost no end. But for whatever reason you’ve come to visit and read this blog, by no means it is fashioned as a tour guide nor an in-depth handbook required for your next relocation. Instead, this is a personal account of my journey in this city, first as a fledgling newcomer and then subsequently a resident.
In the mood for travel. In the mood for life. In the mood for Lisbon.
I’m not exactly the travel-and-lifestyle blogger sort of chap, but living in this city has made me aspire to be one. Since there are plenty of gorgeous spots, little corners, a few poetic alleyways, completely breathtaking miradouros around this city that all charmed my socks off, I’ve decided to share them in both photographic and literary form. Thus, the birth of In the Mood for Life.
For there is nothing else I desire in this joint than to hopefully get anyone reading this blog in the mood for travel, for poetry, for life in Lisbon — and who knows — even beyond.

Hi Janz. I’ve come across your “In The Mood For Life” YouTube channel.
It’s very brilliantly done and very informative. You probably know more about Portugal than me, who was born there.
I can’t wait to show your videos to my wife, who is Filipino, so she can see the perspective from a fellow Filipino.
I would love to see your perspective about the Açores if you ever decide to visit the islands, since that was my birthplace.
I haven’t been back in about 15 years I miss it dearly and live it through the thoughts and videos of people like yourself.
Keep up the good work and hoping for your success.
